We are sure our many regular guests will agree that this gem of a Chalet Hotel is a superb addition to our range in Lech. It has a lovely ambience from the moment you enter and our i-ski team can’t wait to welcome you through its doors. ‘Location, location, location!’ Lech is a picture perfect ski resort with a bustling cosmopolitan village centre and the Montfort is ideally located for both ski access and the full village experience. It is discreetly set back from the main road but within a couple of minutes easy stroll of the chic boutiques, stylish shops and lively après ski bars. Ski Area Access The Chalet Hotel Montfort couldn’t be in a better position for the nursery slopes of Lech, being just metres from the Flühen and Schwarzwand drag-lifts. It is here that the children’s ski school runs its classes, as well as being the location for some of the adult lessons. For more experienced skiers ready to enjoy the vast ski area of the Arlberg, the main lifts are only approx. 4-5 minutes easy walk from the front door. The Rüfikopf Gondola in the village centre offers the chance to window-shop as you pass the many classy shops en route. From the top you can access the Stubenbach slopes, where the lovely open blue and red runs lend themselves to cruising with style, and then on down into the charming village of Zürs. Going the other way from the central hub and over the river, the Schlegelkopf chair-lifts are again just four minutes from the Montfort, from where the tree-lined slopes and delightful lunch spots of Oberlech are easily reached. And for skiers and boarders who like to explore, going higher and further opens up some challenging off-piste itineraries from the far point above Zug, at the Zuger Hochlicht. At the end of the ski day you can return to the village centre from any of your chosen routes and just stroll the four minutes home, stopping of course for some après ski, Lech-style, on the way. Excellent Hotel Facilities This Chalet Hotel has been lovingly cared for by its owners, with a modern approach and understanding for traditional Austrian furnishings, colour and style. This harmonious blend of old and new creates an atmospheric and comfortable feel to the rooms and communal areas. The lounge / bar is beautifully decorated with a typically Austrian central feature, a traditional Kachelofen (tiled stove) with its stucco exterior and bench seating - an ideal spot for afternoon tea, canapés and pre or post dinner drinks. The dining room leads off from the lounge / bar and is light and airy with tasteful wood cladding and attractive furnishings. The room lends itself to convivial dining and the enjoyment of our ‘Culinary Choice’ evening meals. For a Chalet Hotel of this size, the Wellness Spa is a real treat, offering guests numerous ways to relax. Time can be spent in the sauna, steam room or in a warm and soothing spa-bath, or why not all three? All the bedrooms are tasteful and well-appointed with en suite facilities, plus each have a TV and safe and many also have either a south-facing balcony or terrace with super mountain and resort views.

CULINARY CHOICE DINNERS
A special feature of this Chalet Hotel is a more extensive culinary experience for our guests. With the greater kitchen facilities of a hotel, our professional chefs are able to offer choices of menu at dinner freshly prepared for you six nights per week, generally including lighter as well as more hearty options, and always a vegetarian choice for each course. Guests will be asked to choose their evening meals at breakfast for that evening from a varied daily selection. Our Chalet Hotel adult-only dinners offer 3 courses for six nights per week, starting with an apéritif, followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert or a cheese selection to round off your meal in style. All this is then followed by coffee with chocolates to complete your evening’s repast! Your choice of complimentary quality wines is unlimited during the meal service and freshly chilled water is also of course always available.
CHILDREN’S HIGH TEA
High Tea provides children under 13 years with a healthy menu, tailored more towards children’s tastes and puréed food is available for infants on request. High Tea is at 5.30pm, and children do not join the main adult-only dinner.
ADULTS DINING WITH CHILDREN
Families may choose to eat separately (High Tea at 5:30pm) or all dine together at the later adult dinner time if children who have received a child discount pay the meal upgrade charge of £39 at the time of booking only.
Welcome to the majestic resort of Lech. With its outstanding natural beauty, immaculately groomed slopes, and guaranteed snow it’s widely considered to be one of Austria’s top ski resorts.
Along with its enviable snow record and short transfer time, it has long been beloved of royalty and celebrities.
Lech is part of the extensive Arlberg ski area, linking to Zurs, Stubenbach, St Christoph and the legendary St Anton. The Arlberg has 280km of pistes and 180km of off piste routes.
With its high altitude skiing, impressive diversity of slopes, and modern lifts; you really can’t afford to miss out on Lech. We have a fantastic range of holiday packages to choose from, flying from your local regional airport.
The village itself is stunning, a typical Tyrolean village with an attractive river running through the town. Famous for its world-class hospitality and outstanding facilities, Lech is quite simply one of the most beautiful resorts out there. A 14th century church dominates the landscape of the village, and the tiny, picturesque hamlet of Zurs is only a few minutes away by bus - or you can ski there!
There are a number of hotels and chalets in the resort offering the majority of the available accommodation, some of which is ski in ski out. Why not call our experts on 0203 8236118 and see what we can find you in Lech?
The skiing in Lech is widely considered to be some of the best in Austria. The ski area is known as the Arlberg ski area linking Lech to the resorts of Zurs, Stubenbach, St Christoph and the famous St Anton. There are 280km of slopes and 180km (113 miles) of off piste and with so much high altitude skiing on offer, snow is virtually guaranteed. One of the great features of Lech and Zurs is that the resorts will only sell up to a set maximum number of lift tickets, meaning the slope will never be too busy.
For learner skiers and children there are gentle nursery slopes found very close to the main lifts and many of the hotels, making them easy to access.
There are many idyllic wide blue and red runs to choose from, notably the runs from the Schlegelkopf chair which accesses the scenic Oberlech. Opposite the main chair lifts you’ll find the Rüfikopf lift that leads to the Hexenboden slopes heading toward Zurs.
There’s also the legendary ski circuit known as “The White Ring”. This is a unique route through part of the Alps between Lech, Zurs, Zug and Oberlech. This route is still centred around the original cable cars and lifts just as it was when it was first popularised 50 years ago. This circuit is home to the White Ring race that takes place in January every year and, at 22km, is the longest ski race in the world. The record for this course is held by Patrick Ortile with his time of 44:35:07 - can you beat it?
Lech is an expert skier’s paradise, with some of the best and most challenging off piste in Austria, You can also try heli-skiing if you want a new challenge!
The vast extent of phenomenal, untouched off piste over the resort’s unique and diverse terrain is ideal for boarders, with many cliff drops (only for the experts) and 180km of off piste routes to choose from. There are also 2 snowparks; one in Lech, one the famed Stanton Park over in St Anton, to have a play on.
After the slopes close, the town comes alive! It’s not exaggerating to say the main street turns into one long street bar filled with champagne and cocktails. Popular places to go include the Tannbergerhof which later turns into a nightclub, and there are also a staggering 4 discos to visit. It’s also well worth stopping off in St Anton to sample the apres ski there as well.
One chair up from the main lift station in Lech is an ice bar with a chilled out atmosphere serving oysters and champagne. This bar has a fantastic outdoor seating area with music and is a must for anyone who goes to Lech.
The Mooserwirt and Krazy Kanguruh bars are two of the best apres ski venues in the Alps. If you’re staying in Lech, just stop off in St Anton for a bit of apres fun and jump on the bus back to Lech once it is all over. Just make sure not to miss the last bus!
