New from the ground up, the Belambra Club Panorama brings you doorstep skiing and bundles of entertainment for your off-slope hours. When you arrive, you'll be welcomed in with a free drink and a smile, and those panoramic mountain views from reception really set the scene for your stay. As you walk though the hotel, you’ll spot nods to alpine style – photos of ski-scapes and touches of wood and stone, set against bold orange paintwork for a modern look. And when it’s ski-o-clock, step out onto the green Malachite run and swoosh off to the lifts, or if you're heading to ski school, the meeting point is steps from the boot room door. After you’ve hung up your ski boots, there’s plenty to fill your afternoon. Sip mulled wine and snack away on the sun terrace, make a splash in the candy cane-striped pool or hit the spa for some R&R. And it wouldn’t be a Belambra stay without music. From live concerts in the lounge to character shows for kids, there’s something for everyone here. Plus, there are clubs for tots, teens and in-betweens, where they can get stuck into activities and make new friends too. Your all-inclusive meals are a real treat here. Fuel up on a hot and cold buffet breakfast, then ski back at lunchtime for show-cooking and a cheesy fix at the fondue stations. At après, you can indulge your sweet tooth with cakes, pancakes and even a chocolate fountain. And in the evening, dig into another buffet or book a spot for some Savoyard specialities – think raclette, tartiflette or another round of gooey fondue. Flaine is at 1600m, has 265km of piste, and forms part of the Grand Massif ski area by linking to Samoens, Morillon, Les Carroz, and Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval. Not only does it have fantastic skiing and most of the properties are ski in ski out, Flaine is only about 1hr and 15 minutes from Geneva airport so it is a perfect ski holiday choice for families as it has a very short transfer. We have a wide choice of winter Flaine ski holiday packages to choose from where you can fly from your local regional airport.
Flaine is home to the “Jam Park” which is almost a mile long and is one of France’s biggest snow parks. It makes for a perfect ski trip for any snowboarder. Here there is a half-pipe, kickers, rails and a boardercross. Every Sunday there is a party at Jam Park where there are live DJs and BBQs that is well worth a visit during your skiing holiday.
Flaine is traffic-free and the ski resort is divided into 3 levels. The upper level is Flaine Foret at 1700m and Flaine Forum at 1600m. There is a new development, Hameau de Flaine, which still skis in ski out like the rest of Flaine but built in a more traditional style. All 3 villages offer easy access to one another by an efficient lift system. Flaine Forum is the heart of the resort where most of the restaurants & bars are found.
Flaine is really a hidden secret and the main part of the village is at 1600m. It has 265km of pistes and forms part of the Grand Massif ski area. It is very popular with families and snowboarders. It has an excellent snow record thanks to its proximity to Mont Blanc and one of the shortest transfers at 1 hour and 15 minutes for Geneva. One other feature of Flaine is that a lot of the skiing is below the tree line so it is a perfect ski holiday destination for any tree line skiing enthusiast.
Flaine is a perfect place for beginners as there are plenty of wide gentle nursery slopes close to the resort to choose from. There are also plenty of beginner slopes up high at the top of the ski area accessed by the Grandes Platières cable car and by the Petit Baltacha and Colonné drag lifts.
The Grand Massif is an ideal ski destination for intermediates skier enthusiasts as there are plenty of touring routes and many tree-lined pistes perfect to take in the spectacular scenery.
Experts will find that the Grand Massif has plenty of off-piste opportunities as well as 12 black runs to play on. The Diamant Noir down from Samoens and Combe de Gers are popular routes.
