If you're looking for easy access to the slopes, Sporthotel Panorama's the place for you. It’s got a piste-side location 1,700 metres above Corvara, so grabbing your skis and getting down the mountain couldn’t be easier. The Arlara lift is only 20 metres from the hotel and you can ski straight back to the door. If you want to get to the centre, all you need to do is hop on the free shuttle bus, or if you want to walk it's only 15 minutes to town. The hotel's decorated in a cosy Alpine style. The rooms are traditional, with lot's of pine furniture and have lots of space for your luggage. Dinners are hearty and filling – just what you need after a day on the slopes. They use natural ingredients that showcase the best of the region’s cuisine. Don’t forget to order a bottle of local wine to wash it all down. They’ve also got a pretty good spa here. We love the indoor pool but if you fancy a bit of pampering, book in for a massage – it'll refresh you before another day of skiing. Transfer time: approx. 3 hours from Innsbruck airport.

The neighboring resorts of Corvara and Colfosco are located within the Alta Badia which is a collection of resorts within the Dolomiti Superski which links onto the famous Sella Ronda ski circuit with Selva on one side and Arabba on the other. The local slopes off the Alta Badia have 130km of piste whilst the full area lift pass for the whole Dolomiti Superski covers a staging 1200km. Not all of this 1200km is fully linked but there is a whole host of resorts that are fully interconnected and all surround the Sella Ronda.
Colfosco and Corvara are both lovely ski resorts with classic architecture and authentic alpine charm. However, Corvara is the busier of the two. It has a good offering of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars as well as a decent touch of apres ski. However, Colfosco is much quieter and is a much better choice for those who just want a laid back relaxed holiday.
iSki has a variety of hotels on offer in both Corvara as well as Colfosco. Why not give our friendly sales team a call if you are looking for some guidance as to where to stay – 02037780123.
There is easy ski access for beginner skiers in both Colfosco and Corvara, however, there are more blue runs of offer in Colfosco. Beginners will not need to purchase anything more than the local area lift pass as there is 130km of piste in the Alta Badia which is the ski area that both Corvara and Colfosco sit within.
Intermediate skiers will love the skiing on offering in Corvara and Colfosco as well as the surrounding resorts in the Alta Badia. The 130km of slopes will give plenty of skiing for a week. The blue and red runs of offer in each resort are ideal for intermediates and there are some more challenging slopes over in Arabba. Upper intermediates will want to get the full area lift pass and take of the challenge of skiing the full Sella Ronda.
Advanced skiers on holiday in either Colfosco or Corvara will enjoy the challenging slopes on offer in Arabba which is covered on the Alta Badia lift pass. However most expert skiers will want to purchase the full area lift pass to as to ski all of the interconnecting resorts which can be reached via the Sella Ronda Circuit. There is a decent number of black runs in the local Alta Badia and even more further afield.
Snowboarders on holiday on either of the above two resorts will enjoy the snowpark and boardercross that is on offer in the local area and there are even more snowparks available in the wider Sella Ronda. In total there are 22 snow parks throughout the entire Dolomiti Superski.

There is a lovely friendly vibe to Corvara and it has a little something for everyone when it comes to apres ski. There are plenty of mountain huts to stop at for a quite drink and to catch a few rays on the sun terraces for the pistes close but if you want a real apres ski atmosphere will drinks flowing and plenty of dancing then head to L'Murin. It has everything that you could want from an apres ski bar. After the drinks and the dancing has stopped there are plenty of lovely restaurants to try out. If want to experience the best fine dining in town then head to the Michelin stared restaurant La Stua de Michil in the Hotel La Perla. You won't find anything like the apres on offer at L'Murin in Colfosco. It is much more of a laid back vibe but there are still a few bars to check out and some great restaurants to sample.
