• Ski-in, ski-out on a blue run • Enjoy a dip in the pool with a view of the slopes. • The kids will love the hotel run clubs. It's all about the location at L'Etoile des Sybelles. This hotel is right in the centre of town and next to a blue slope, so whether you're clicking into your skis or heading out for a bite to eat, everything you need is on your doorstep. Décor wise, it's alpine-chic on the inside, with wood-panelled walls, big pictures of the mountains and cosy lounge areas with open fireplaces. And the spa area's pretty special too. There are floor-to-ceiling windows next to the heated indoor pool, so you can watch skiers and boarders zig-zag down the hill while you swim a few lazy lengths or stand under the waterfall jets. But our fave bit's got to be the swim-through door – paddle through from indoors to outdoors to take in the view of the slopes and get that luxury, mountain-spa experience. You'll stay self catered here, so you can choose to cook in the apartment or get stuck into some local food in Le Corbier or nearby La Toussuire. There's lots of choice, from traditional French dishes like gooey fondue and raclette, to can't-go-wrong pizza, pasta and burgers.
