Do not be fooled by the name - if this is Hell then it must've frozen over and left behind a rather lovely snow covered lodging in the Dolomites - the hotel's name actually is the same as that of the family that own and run Hotel Hell. The building itself is a traditional Tyrolean style chalet building with hand carved wood, cosy nooks and a relaxed atmosphere. Surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Val Gardena, this traditional hotel is sat in a perfect location for complete beginners - right next to the nursery slopes. It's also just a few minutes’ walk to the Seiser Alm cable car. If you don't fancy the walk in your ski boots though, the hotel also provides a lift shuttle service to make your mornings and afternoons a little easier. After a day skiing you can simply chill out in the hotel's spa area. There's a Finnish sauna and steam bath, and if you still need a bit more exercise after all that skiing there's also a small fitness room too. Kids will also love the games room and play area. The chefs have designed their menu around top quality ingredients - dedicated to showcasing the best of Italy and the South Tyrolean region's cuisine, all followed up by delicious homemade desserts and washed down with a wide selection of local and national wines.

Ski holidays in Ortisei gives you access to the local ski area called Alpe di Siusi as well as allowing you to access the Sella Ronda ski circuit via St Christina and Selva. On one side of the town you will find the lift to access the Alpe di Siusi which is a ski area located within a wonderful and sunny bowl. Most of the runs are cruisy reds and blues and in total there is about 19km of downhill skiing. Its not extensive but very enjoyable on a sunny afternoon. On the other side of the town is where you will find the Seceda gondola which links you into the huge Sella Ronda.
Geographically Ortisei is located within the Giardina Valley, just 5km from Selva. It is the main town within the Giardina Valley and has a thriving community all year round. There are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes and it provides a good center for those staying in Selva to head too if they want a day out of the resort.
For helpful and friendly advice on booking your Ortisei & St Ulrich ski holiday just call our friendly sales team and we will guide you through the process from start to finish making the process as easy as possible.
Most beginner skiers in Ortisei will learn to ski in the Alpe di Siusi area with a goo amount of easy blue runs to learn to ski on.
Intermediate skiers on holiday in Ortisei will want to get the full area lift pass so as to be able to benefit from the local Alpe di Siusi ski area as well as the full Sella Ronda ski circuit which offers seemingly endless amounts of skiing
Advanced skiers on holiday in Ortisei will love the amount of skiing on offer. The full area plans cover over 1200 km of piste but that big attraction is the link onto the Sella Ronda which is a huge ski circuit encompassing more than 8 different ski resorts (and all linked via piste and lift).

Tell us roughly when you want to go and who is coming, and we will price it with the operators for you.
No obligation. One of the team will come back to you the same day where we can.
As you might expect from a mountain town there are enough bars on offer in Ortisei to find somewhere for an après ski drink but Ortisei does not really have much of an après ski scene. If you are looking for a week that is more about après ski then ski then Ortisei might not be the place for you.
