Please Note:
*In certain locations, a twin is commonly accepted as referring to two separate mattresses and duvets contained in one large frame. Most hotels have rooms that will take an extra bed if required. These extra beds may be bunk beds, fold-away beds or sofa beds, but the suitability of these beds may depend on each individual. Where an extra bed is added this may limit the space available. Rooms with extra beds are still bookable for two person occupancy although, in this case, the hotelier may allocate a standard-sized twin bedded room without extra beds. Single rooms do not always match up either in size or facilities to twin bedded rooms, even when a supplement is paid.
Food is a highlight of any ski holiday, and our Chalet Hosts will prepare and serve your meals as described here six days per week*. Start the day with a hearty skiers’ breakfast, including a choice of porridge or cereals, tea, coffee, fruit juice, local breads (including croissants and pains au chocolate in France of course!), plus boiled eggs, a choice of preserves, cheese and cold-cut meats, all normally laid out buffet style for you. There will also be a hot ‘dish of the day’ available, such as scrambled eggs or pancakes, freshly cooked to order.
Afternoon tea is the traditional ‘welcome home’ for chalet guests at the end of a day’s skiing, with a slice of freshly baked cake, different each day, to accompany your choice of tea or coffee.
Our 4 course dinner menus start with canapés and an apéritif, followed by a starter, main course and dessert, accompanied by a choice of complimentary wines, with coffee or tea and chocolates to follow.
Vegetarian options are always available, and other special diets are available at a supplement if booked in advance.
*(On your Host’s one day off each week, they will leave a simpler Continental breakfast out for you to help yourselves, there is no afternoon tea that day, and you can dine out locally in the evening. Your resort representative will gladly help out with information and make a reservation for you if you wish.)
Choice of Quality Wines
The wines for our chalets are chosen in conjunction with our good friends and established wine experts, Nicolas and Véronique Perret, who have helped us select two contrasting whites and two choice reds for you to enjoy, unlimited, throughout dinner each evening.
St Anton is a Mecca for all serious skiers and snowboarders. Widely considered to be one of the world's top 10 ski resorts, you'll struggle to find a location better for extreme sports like this, and it's also one of our favorite places here at iSki. But what makes St. Anton ski holidays stand out from the rest?
Before taking a look at the skiing available in St Anton, it makes sense to have a brief tour of the location. St Anton am Arlberg, or St Anton for short is a small Austrian village situated amongst the Tyrolean Alps. St Anton is often referred to as "the cradle of alpine skiing" thanks to the role it has played in making this extreme sport popular, and many of the world's greatest skiers have spent time on these slopes. You don't need to be a pro to enjoy ski holidays in St Anton, though.
With a bustling pedestrianized center, those who don't want to hit the slopes won't run out of things to do. You can spend the trip exploring the many beautiful boutiques, exquisite restaurants, and cozy cafes on offer in St Anton, or you could spend some time with nature, exploring the serene landscapes surrounding the ski slopes.
St Anton is famed for its reliable snowfall, a wide variety of stunning slopes, and the breathtaking backdrop of the Tyrolean Alps, offering the chance to experience a place that feels truly out of this world. Plus you can find amazing St Anton ski deals. St Anton is also part of the renowned Arlberg Ski-Circus. This group includes Lech, Zurs, Stuben, St Christoph, and Warth, with the whole group offering 340km of pistes for you to enjoy during your stay in Austria.
The main resort sits at around 1304m above sea level, providing panoramic views of the Tyrolean Alps and an excellent snow record for skiers to take advantage of. The highest lift at St Anton reaches a dizzyingly high 2811m, giving you more than 1500m of runway to launch yourself down the slopes.
St Anton is renowned the world over for its breath taking views, huge variety of terrain, and epic off piste. There are over 86 ski lifts as well as cable cars to cover the 340km of pistes where the 2001 Alpine World Ski Championships took place.
Located at the top of the town the main ski lift is the Galzigbahn, the world’s first Funitel gondola which allows passengers to board a gondola on the ground before being rotated up to the main high speed cables.
This ski resort has a reputation as a challenging place to ski and is primarily considered to be for intermediates and above. With that said, however, there are a good number of beginner pistes and novices should not be put off as St Anton’s ski schools have a very good reputation. Easy nursery slopes can be found in nearby Nasserein.
St Anton is the perfect place to improve your skiing skills. The best area for intermediates is the pistes in Gampen; these slopes can be reached from the Gampen chairlift or the Nasserein gondola. You can then take the 6-person chair to Kampen, which is a great Freeride area.
St Anton, is a must-visit for any experienced skier; famous routes include the backside of Valluga 1 and 2, off piste from 2,811m (9,222 feet) into Zurs and requiring a guide. Other popular routes for advanced skiers include the Schindlerkar, Mattun and Stuben trails that are less frequently groomed than other routes - and heli-skiing is also available.
Snowboarding in St Anton ****
Opposite St Anton there is the Rendl ski area which is separate from the main St Anton ski area. Here you’ll find a well-groomed snow park which is often less busy than the St Anton side which has become a favourite with the locals.

Whether you're spending each and every day on the slopes or using your St Anton ski holiday for other activities, the nightlife you'll be soaking up will surely be a big part of your plans. Après Ski means "after ski" and is a tradition which is very common at ski resorts. Après Ski activities can include sharing meals, going out for drinks, or even spending time in a hot tub to relax your body after a hard day of skiing.
St Anton is home to a huge range of Après Ski options, including a wide range of bars and restaurants. Mooserwirt is one of the most popular bars in St Anton, and it can be found right next to this village's most famous slope. Table dancing, shots, and all-round fun can be expected here, and the same can be said for much of the nightlife in and around St Anton.
