Chalet Mariefleur is located in the popular resort of Méribel, which sits at the heart of the World's largest connected ski area, The Three Valleys. As the central resort in the area, Méribel is the perfect choice of resort from which to explore all of this vast ski area. Chalet Mariefleur is located in the Mussillon area of Méribel, a popular and pretty hamlet of traditional chalets which sits on the main route into the resort, just a little below the centre. The chalet is only a twelve minute stroll from the centre of Méribel. To get to the ski slopes, we'd recommend taking the free shuttle bus. There is a bus stop roughly 100 metres outside the chalet, from there it's just a couple of minutes at most to the base of the lifts. We also operate two other chalets in close proximity, Chalet Marielaine is just next door sharing the same building as Chalet Brioche, which could make this a great option for a larger group of friends or family looking to stay close to one another. The Chalet Chalet Mariefleur is a stunning property, set over four floors with five bedrooms sleeping up to eleven guests, as well as a range of added features which make this the perfect choice for a family or group of friends looking for a luxury retreat in one of France's most picturesque and well-loved ski resorts. Entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor, where upon entering you'll find a ski room, complete with heated boot driers for ensuring you have warm, dry feet each morning before hitting the slopes. After safely storing your equipment and heading further into the chalet, you'll find a magnificent cinema room, the perfect spot for reclining in ultimate luxury, when you want nothing more than to curl up and watch your favourite film after a tiring day out on the slopes. Next door you'll find a billiards, with its own bar, a great spot for après-ski drinks and a bit of friendly competition between friends. In addition to this, for true relaxation, why not unwind in the sauna or hamman after a dip in the outdoor Jacuzzi on the first floor, perfect for easing aches and pains in your muscles after a long day on the mountain. On the second floor you'll find stylishly decorated living space, with a stunning fireplace and dining room with enough space for all eleven guests. There is a separate kitchen which is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and cafetière, so you'll have everything you need to whip up a feast for all the family (a washing machine is also available for you to use). From outside on the terrace there are stunning views of Méribel and the surrounding mountains, perfect for enjoying an après-ski drink when the weather is good. If you can't all agree on which film to watch downstairs in the cinema room, there is a separate living room, with a large flat screen television up on the third floor/mezzanine. With free wifi throughout the chalet, you can make the most of this space to catch up on your favourite series or films online. There is also a Bluetooth speaker for you to play your favourite tunes. There are five spacious and comfortable bedrooms in Chalet Mariefleur, two of which can be found on the ground floor, each with two single beds and its own bathroom with shower, bath tub and WC. On the first floor there are a further two bedrooms, again with two single beds and each with its own bathroom with shower, bath and WC. The final bedroom is on the second floor, with two single beds, plus a mezzanine level with another single bed plus an en-suite shower room and WC.

Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.
Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our à la carte option which allows you greater flexibility to eat and drink whatever you desire and the cost of the food is on supplement, at cost price, and depending on what produce you choose to order.
For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, afternoon tea, a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, plus unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.
Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our à la carte contactless catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week and we will give you the opportunity to order the food and drink of your choice, at the local hypermarket rates, and bill you for this afterwards. Four days before arrival, you will receive a comprehensive provisions list with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. That might be oven-ready meals, or the ingredients you'll need for Bolognaise, Soufflés or Cheese Fondues. Dry goods, dairy, fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat or fish, beers, wines, champagne, whatever, all bought for you and stocked in advance.
Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.
*Please note that for the à la carte option, all food, drink, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Provisions will be billed at cost price and can be ordered from the list that will be sent out to you, and ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates. For our fixed menu option, the price does not include ski hire and lift passes, but it does include breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, plus a 3-course dinner with beer and wine for 6 days.
Meribel is one of the most famous ski resorts in the world and is located within the 3 Valleys (or Trois Vallees) in France. There are four main resorts that make up the Trois Vallees; Meribel, Val Thorens, Courchevel, and Les Menuires.
You will often hear Meribel called the hub of the region. The reason for this is that Meribel is located centrally and as a result basing yourself in Meribel offers unparalleled access to the rest of the region.
With a resort height of 1450m, Meribel is a resort with high altitude skiing and a great snow record.
If you’d prefer to be a little higher up the valley, you could look at Meribel Motterat; one of the satellite villages of Meribel. The village has its own character and charm although, whilst fully tied into the ski region, most of the shops, bars, and restaurants are located in Meribel itself.
Whilst searching for accommodation you might also come across Meribel Village. Again, this is a satellite village within the Meribel Valley located just below the main center of Meribel.
As with Meribel Motterat, you have full access to the ski area from Meribel Village but again the amenities are more limited and if you like your skiing holidays loud and lively then the Village is not your best bet.
Meribel as a whole is extremely pretty and is predominantly comprised of traditional stone and wood-clad chalets, providing much of the charm and beauty of the resort. To ensure good piste access, most chalets have private minibus services.
If you want a Meribel skiing holiday you should expect a lively resort with plenty to do, and plenty of skiing. It’s great for families but hardly short of nightlife for adult groups either. Why not give us a call and see if we can find you the perfect Meribel ski holiday?
With access to 600km of piste across the Trois Vallees, the skiing in Meribel is enough to keep even the most advanced skier completely occupied for at least a week.
Still, there’s plenty to enjoy even if you’re not an expert skier. Meribel is also one of those wonderful resorts that offer bountiful skiing for all abilities.
Whether you want to stick to the easy to access nursery slopes or want to challenge yourself with some off-piste tree skiing or freestyle adventures in one of the many snow parks in the area, the skiing in Meribel will keep everyone in your party happy.
There are some very easy to access nursery slopes in Meribel which have a gentle gradient and are ideal for learning to ski.
As a complete novice, you’ll spend most of your time in the Altiport area, a part of which is specifically designed for beginners to learn the ropes before moving on to the other pistes towards the end of your skiing holiday.
There are endless possibilities for intermediate skiers. Long, winding blue runs like the Gelinotte run down into the heart of Meribel and some lovely runs down into Meribel Motterat.
As an intermediate skier you’re probably going to want to purchase a full area lift pass to explore the surrounding resorts but if you want to save a bit of money there’s still plenty of skiing to be had just with the local area lift pass which gives you access to the whole of the Meribel Valley.
Advanced skiers on holiday in Meribel will absolutely want to purchase a full area 3 Valleys lift pass. There’s so much skiing to be had just in Meribel but the more adventurous among you will definitely be drawn out of the valley sooner or later in search of new and exciting challenges.
With over 600km of piste to explore you can’t possibly get bored. You could easily spend a whole week skiing in the Three Valleys and still find there’s more to go!
A snowboarding holiday in Meribel will provide tree-lined runs with plenty to jib on at the side of the piste and access to two brilliant snowboard parks located within the Meribel valley itself.
The Moon Park is the bigger of the two parks and is a favourite hangout for snowboarders in the area. And as if that wasn’t enough, you can also access the snowboard parks in Val Thorens and Courchevel.
With a lot of the skiing within the tree line, Meribel offers some great opportunities to go off-piste. There are also some amazing couloirs to be skied including the Coulior Tremplin leading down to Meribel near the top of Saulire.
It’s definitely not for an inexperienced skier and is an extremely dangerous route so take care. If you like it steep and narrow, then the couloisrs that Meribel offers are just the thing.
There’s plenty of apres-ski to experience in Meribel, from mountain restaurants and bars to fine dining in the resort, then on to late-night party hot spots.
The most famous of the apres-ski haunts in Meribel is probably the Rond Point where you will find live music playing from 5pm to 7 pm on most days.
You’re always guaranteed a party atmosphere with plenty of skiing and dancing. If you want a good apres ski party it’s also worth checking out the newly opened La Folie Douce.
For those who then want to keep the party going, there’re plenty of bars in the center of Meribel to be found and if you want to carry on into the early hours then O'Sullivans Bar and La Taverne have got you covered.
For those out there who enjoy the quieter life, it’s very easy to steer clear of the apres-ski parties.
Meribel is quite a spread out a resort, and there is still plenty to do in the evenings with the shops open late and some fantastic restaurants such as Chez Kiki just waiting to be discovered. You could even opt for some fine dining in one of the top class hotel restaurants that can be found in hotels like La Chaudanne.
With an open-air ice rink, go-karting on ice, romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides, and a sports center with an indoor pool, Meribel’s facilities are up to the minute – but you could also chill out by catching a film in one of the cinemas or enjoy the view from a hot air balloon, giving a completely different perspective on the Trois Vallees. There’s even a bowling alley!
