In an elevated position above St. Anton with fantastic views across the Rendl ski area. Free ski-bus stops opposite or 7 minute downhill walk to Rendl gondola and 9 minutes to the village centre. Chic and contemporary chalet with modern rooms and large picture windows providing plenty of natural light. Stylish open-plan dining room, bar and lounge area with open fireplace. Modern wellness suite with sauna and steam room. Free WiFi in public areas, allowing you to stay connected throughout your stay. "Finest Collection" chalet hosts offer exceptional service whether it’s serving high quality food or delivering an early morning tea or coffee to your room. Children welcome all season. Chalet Inge is a little different to your average chalet - think of the telly programme Grand Designs and you'll probably be in the right area. It's über-modern and has a really individual, contemporary and minimalist style. Built into the side of the mountain, in many parts of the chalet you can see some of the raw ingredients used to build this impressive building - including unfinished concrete and exposed ironworks. And then there's just a few kitsch touches added to remind you that you're in an Austrian chalet. The modern, open-plan dining room and bar area is the social hub of the Inge. It's a warm and inviting communal space for catching up with events of the day. Tucked away in the corner is a small but comfy lounge area with open fireplace and telly - it'll seat around ten people fairly comfortably, and a few more at a squeeze. There's also a pretty nifty wellness suite - which fortunately for shy Brits does not require you to remove your bathing costume for the sauna or steam room. The open plan bedrooms with glass walled bathrooms are very in vogue - although they won't be to everyone's taste there's always a blind that can be pulled for that bit of extra privacy. Huge picture windows in all the rooms give you loads of natural light and some great views out from the Inge's elevated position above the main village and across the Rendl ski area. Being in an elevated position is a nice way of saying that the Inge isn't in St Anton's centre, but it isn't far - about seven minutes walk downhill to town. And there is a hill to climb on the way back from the slopes and town so you can add a few minutes extra to that count. Fortunately during the day there's a free ski bus, that runs until 6pm, that stops right outside the chalet - also if there's a few of you coming back together late, taxis back from town are relatively cheap and plentiful. You'll have the services of our chalet hosts looking after you throughout your stay - they're a friendly bunch who are on hand to help whenever you need it. One night of the week they get a well deserved day off and this is your opportunity to get out and try one of the many excellent restaurants down in town - feel free to ask the team for recommendations. On the other nights you'll get quality 3 course meals, all prepared in-house by your chef, preceded by canapés and followed up with cheese, coffee and port. Also if you like cake, you're in luck. Everyday there will be an après cake or snack waiting for you on return to the chalet - made fresh that morning.

St Anton is a Mecca for all serious skiers and snowboarders. Widely considered to be one of the world's top 10 ski resorts, you'll struggle to find a location better for extreme sports like this, and it's also one of our favorite places here at iSki. But what makes St. Anton ski holidays stand out from the rest?
Before taking a look at the skiing available in St Anton, it makes sense to have a brief tour of the location. St Anton am Arlberg, or St Anton for short is a small Austrian village situated amongst the Tyrolean Alps. St Anton is often referred to as "the cradle of alpine skiing" thanks to the role it has played in making this extreme sport popular, and many of the world's greatest skiers have spent time on these slopes. You don't need to be a pro to enjoy ski holidays in St Anton, though.
With a bustling pedestrianized center, those who don't want to hit the slopes won't run out of things to do. You can spend the trip exploring the many beautiful boutiques, exquisite restaurants, and cozy cafes on offer in St Anton, or you could spend some time with nature, exploring the serene landscapes surrounding the ski slopes.
St Anton is famed for its reliable snowfall, a wide variety of stunning slopes, and the breathtaking backdrop of the Tyrolean Alps, offering the chance to experience a place that feels truly out of this world. Plus you can find amazing St Anton ski deals. St Anton is also part of the renowned Arlberg Ski-Circus. This group includes Lech, Zurs, Stuben, St Christoph, and Warth, with the whole group offering 340km of pistes for you to enjoy during your stay in Austria.
The main resort sits at around 1304m above sea level, providing panoramic views of the Tyrolean Alps and an excellent snow record for skiers to take advantage of. The highest lift at St Anton reaches a dizzyingly high 2811m, giving you more than 1500m of runway to launch yourself down the slopes.
St Anton is renowned the world over for its breath taking views, huge variety of terrain, and epic off piste. There are over 86 ski lifts as well as cable cars to cover the 340km of pistes where the 2001 Alpine World Ski Championships took place.
Located at the top of the town the main ski lift is the Galzigbahn, the world’s first Funitel gondola which allows passengers to board a gondola on the ground before being rotated up to the main high speed cables.
This ski resort has a reputation as a challenging place to ski and is primarily considered to be for intermediates and above. With that said, however, there are a good number of beginner pistes and novices should not be put off as St Anton’s ski schools have a very good reputation. Easy nursery slopes can be found in nearby Nasserein.
St Anton is the perfect place to improve your skiing skills. The best area for intermediates is the pistes in Gampen; these slopes can be reached from the Gampen chairlift or the Nasserein gondola. You can then take the 6-person chair to Kampen, which is a great Freeride area.
St Anton, is a must-visit for any experienced skier; famous routes include the backside of Valluga 1 and 2, off piste from 2,811m (9,222 feet) into Zurs and requiring a guide. Other popular routes for advanced skiers include the Schindlerkar, Mattun and Stuben trails that are less frequently groomed than other routes - and heli-skiing is also available.
Snowboarding in St Anton ****
Opposite St Anton there is the Rendl ski area which is separate from the main St Anton ski area. Here you’ll find a well-groomed snow park which is often less busy than the St Anton side which has become a favourite with the locals.
Whether you're spending each and every day on the slopes or using your St Anton ski holiday for other activities, the nightlife you'll be soaking up will surely be a big part of your plans. Après Ski means "after ski" and is a tradition which is very common at ski resorts. Après Ski activities can include sharing meals, going out for drinks, or even spending time in a hot tub to relax your body after a hard day of skiing.
St Anton is home to a huge range of Après Ski options, including a wide range of bars and restaurants. Mooserwirt is one of the most popular bars in St Anton, and it can be found right next to this village's most famous slope. Table dancing, shots, and all-round fun can be expected here, and the same can be said for much of the nightlife in and around St Anton.
