Good food and drink are essential parts of any skiing holiday.
• We offer delicious cuisine and wines on 6 nights for adults, whilst child catering is for 7 evenings.
We believe that going on a ski holiday with children shouldn’t mean that you have to compromise on simple pleasures, such as an excellent, wholesome meal and wine in good company. Our chalet menus have been carefully designed and refined to provide families with imaginative, well-presented and great tasting food. You can be sure our cuisine will appeal even to the fussiest of eaters.
Parent Meals:
Parents enjoy chalet meals at separate times to children, meaning you can enjoy some rare ‘adult time’ in good company. A glass of wine with like-minded parents can be a great way to finish a day in the mountains.
Our wine list has been carefully chosen to compliment our menus and offers good quality French classics to enjoy with your evening meal. All of our carefully selected range of wines are sourced directly from the vineyard.
In our Premier Select and Premier Select Plus chalets an upgraded range of wines are included.

Les Gets is a charming and stunning little village that is situated just next to Morzine on the Swiss-French border, that is a perfect ski holiday destination for families. With Geneva airport only 1 hour away, its short transfer means if you get an early flight you can be skiing by lunchtime. Les Gets is part of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area and your ski pass will cover a staggering 650km of piste (406 miles) that include great resorts such as Morzine, Avoriaz, Chatel, Champery and Torgan. Whatever type of ski holiday you want, we have a wide choice of winter Les Gets ski holiday packages to choose from where you can fly from your local regional airport.
The Les Gets ski area itself is only 110km and ranges from 1,172m to 2,002m. It is mainly filled with blue and red runs all covered under the local pass, so it is an ideal destination for children and beginners learning to ski. As there is a large amount of skiing in Les Gets there is no need to get a full area Portes du Soleil ski pass unless you want to.
The Les Gets ski resort is at 1,172m and is located between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area. The town itself is flat and surrounded by trees, and when covered in snow it really looks like a true winter wonderland and is one of our top family resorts. Most of the local architecture is in a traditional French Savoyard style, so the town is filled with charming wood and stone chalets. There are many restaurants and bars filled with local charm but if they are not enough for you Morzine is only a few minutes away.
The Les Gets ski area is only 110km however it is easy to access the whole of the Portes du Soleil area where there is a mighty 650km of slopes (406 miles). There really is something for everyone. Here in Les Gets most of the skiing is within tree-lined slopes perfect for tree skiing enthusiasts or if the weather is bad. One of the best features of Les Gets is the mountain has its own Mont Chéry that is serviced by a gondola. From this gondola, it is possible to ski down a variety of slopes that offer different terrain suitable for any ability. So whether you are an expert, intermediate or a beginner you can depart from the same spot and arrive at the same point at the base of the slopes.
There are beginner slopes at the village level as well as across the valley at Les Chavannes (1484m) that can be reached by road, chairlift or gondola. There are also plenty of snow cannons in case snow conditions are weak.
The Portes du Soleil has such a vast amount of skiing it really is an intermediates paradise. There are so many blue and red runs to choose from and it is possible to ski over to the Swiss border and be back in time for lunch.
Experts will find plenty of challenging skiing opportunities including the World Cup decent that runs from Avoriaz to Morzine, that has a goggle steaming 1100m of vertical decent. There is also “The Swiss Wall” that is famous for its massive moguls.
Les Gets does not have a snow park anymore but has a “jib District” instead and they also have a boardercross that is dedicated to the Vancouver Winter Olympic medal winner Déborah Anthonioz. There are some big snow parks in Avoriaz that are easy to get to. It is easy to get around on the well-designed lift and gondola systems and as much of the area is tree-lined there are plenty of natural features to play around on.
There is a wide range of Bars and restaurants in the town. Some of the liveliest bars for going out in Les Gets and the best for après ski are the Canadian Bar, the Irish Pub, the Copeaux and the Bush Bar. There is one nightclub called the Igloo which is popular.
If the bars in Les Gets are not enough for you Morzine is very close which has many late-night bars and clubs to choose from.
